Tchouaméni Returns: Real Madrid's Midfield Boost Before La Liga Opener

Real Madrid’s midfield plans for the new season have cleared up at just the right moment. Aurélien Tchouaméni has shaken off the muscle strain that sidelined him from recent training sessions and is expected to be ready for the first whistle of La Liga.

Spanish radio journalist Arancha Rodríguez reported on Sunday on “Cope” that the French international should be available for Real Madrid’s trip to Espanyol next Saturday, when Los Blancos launch their league campaign.

Tchouaméni had rejoined club training after his World Cup duties with France, only to be halted by a muscular problem that initially forced him to work away from the group. He trained alone, built up his fitness step by step, and has now moved to the brink of a full return.

The timing matters. Real Madrid face Schalke on Sunday in Germany in their final pre-season friendly, a last chance to fine-tune rhythm and structure before the competitive action starts. With Tchouaméni back in the frame, the midfield picture looks stronger, the rotation options deeper, and the opening night in La Liga suddenly feels a little less uncertain.
