Sorba Thomas Uninjured After Car Overturns Near Hull Training Ground

Hull City winger Sorba Thomas walked away uninjured after his car overturned close to the club’s training ground on Friday morning.

The 27-year-old’s grey Land Rover Defender ended up on its roof on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham, a short distance from Hull’s base. Images from the scene showed the vehicle with smashed windows and significant damage.

Humberside Police confirmed emergency services remained at the location as investigations continued and urged the public to stay away from the area while they worked.

Hull City moved quickly to reassure supporters after photographs of the wrecked car began circulating online.

In a statement, the club said it was “relieved” to learn Thomas was unharmed and stressed he had “sustained no injuries and emerged from his vehicle completely unscathed”.

Thomas only joined the Tigers earlier this month from Championship side Stoke City. For Hull, and for the player, the story on this occasion is simple: the car is wrecked, but the winger is ready to play on.
