According to Sky Sport and Gazzetta, Thuram will travel to France next week for a consultation with renowned knee specialist Bertrand Sonnery Cottet. The visit will determine whether surgery is the only way forward.
Sonnery Cottet is a familiar name to Juventus. He previously operated on Gleison Bremer for cruciate ligament and meniscus problems and on Federico Gatti for a meniscus issue in recent years. Both cases underline the seriousness of the decision now facing Thuram.
