Jordan Graham in Hospital After Serious Road Traffic Accident

Former Birmingham City winger Jordan Graham is in hospital receiving specialist treatment after what has been described as a “serious road traffic accident”.

The 31-year-old’s condition was confirmed in a statement from the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA), issued on behalf of his family, following the incident earlier this month.

An Aston Villa academy graduate, Graham’s career has wound through English football’s ladder. He broke through at Villa before moving to Wolves, where he made 17 first-team appearances, and then embarked on loan spells with Ipswich Town, Bradford City, Oxford United and Fulham.

His most sustained run came at Birmingham City, where he featured 49 times in the Championship between 2021 and 2023 after joining from Gillingham. Across his career he has amassed 188 senior appearances, most recently with Leyton Orient, whom he left in 2025 and has not played since.

The PFA said Graham is “receiving specialist treatment” and relayed the family’s gratitude for the medical care he is being given. The statement added that his relatives are “incredibly grateful for the care he is receiving” and have asked for privacy and for people not to contact them directly while they focus on his recovery. Any further updates, they stressed, will only come “when appropriate”.

Messages of support have already begun to flow from former clubs.

Gillingham said: “Everyone at the club is thinking of Jordan and his family at this time. We wish him a full and swift recovery.”

Leyton Orient added their backing with a simple, pointed message: “We’re all with you JG.”

For a winger who has spent a decade fighting his way through English football, another battle now lies in front of him.
