Endrick Set for Real Madrid Return Against Inter in Champions League

Real Madrid could finally see Endrick back in competitive action on one of the biggest stages of all – the Champions League.

The Brazilian forward is in line for his official return in the 2026/27 edition of the tournament, with Real Madrid set to host Inter Milan on Tuesday (8) at 4 p.m. The plan is modest but symbolic: a handful of minutes, nothing more, as he steps back onto the pitch after injury.

José Mourinho made the situation crystal clear.

“He may be ready to play 5 minutes, 10 at most. He trained with the team for the first time yesterday and hasn't played since Budapest. He isn't fit for more (minutes),” the Real Madrid coach said.

So this is not about making Endrick the star of the night. It is about reintroducing him, carefully, to a squad already loaded with attacking talent.

Mourinho, though, could not resist a touch of irony when asked where the youngster might fit in.

“He will play in attack. I guarantee he won't play at left-back or center-back. (He can play) on the right or the left, (as a) 9 or 10.”

The message is simple: no experiments, no reinvention. Endrick is there to do what he does best – attack.

That is no small challenge in this Real Madrid side. In recent games, Mourinho has unleashed a glittering front line featuring Jude Bellingham, Arda Güler, Vini Jr, and Kylian Mbappé. Breaking into that attacking unit will take time, patience, and impact in those short cameos.

For Endrick, even 5 or 10 minutes against Inter could be the first step toward proving he belongs in that company.
