Edo Queens Coach Kennedy Boboye Vows Full Throttle in Final Group Game

Edo Queens head coach Kennedy Boboye has made it clear: there will be no let-up in their final group game at the WAFU B Women’s Champions League.

Already through to the semi-finals after winning their first two matches, the Nigerian champions could have treated the clash with Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa Ladies as a chance to rotate heavily and coast. Boboye wants none of that.

He insists his side will go full throttle.

“We don’t have any player to rest; it’s only one of our defenders who was ruled out of the tournament due to a head injury,” Boboye said ahead of the matchday three showdown.

One enforced absence, but no easing off.

The coach stressed that every available player remains locked in and ready to step onto the pitch.

“All the players in the squad will come out and play when needed, and they will surely give their all to the team,” he added, underlining the intensity he expects, even with qualification already secured.

It is not just about group standings. The stakes stretch far beyond this week. The winner of the WAFU B Women’s Champions League will claim a coveted ticket to the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League.

With that prize in view, Edo Queens are not treating any game as dead rubber.
