Bayern Munich's Konrad Laimer Faces Injury Setback in Friendly

Konrad Laimer gave Bayern Munich an early scare as the Austria international limped off with a right-leg injury during their friendly against last season’s third-placed Bundesliga side.

The midfielder went down after a challenge, immediately clutching his leg. The replays offered no clarity: knee, thigh, or both – it was impossible to tell. What was obvious was the pain. Laimer grimaced, unable to continue, as two Bayern staff members supported him off the pitch. His right leg was quickly wrapped in a bandage on the sidelines.
