World Cup Day 14 Preview: Canada and South Korea Aim to Advance; Brazil Faces Scotland in Key Group C Clash

The 2026 World Cup moves into a critical phase as the last group games for Groups A, B, and C are set to take place. These matches will decide who moves forward in the tournament, with multiple teams still fighting for survival.

Canada and Switzerland Face Off

On Wednesday at 3 p.m. ET, Canada hosts Switzerland in Vancouver, broadcast on Fox. Canada currently leads Group B by goal difference over Switzerland. A win or even a draw guarantees Canada finishes top of the group and keeps them playing in Vancouver for the Round of 32. Should they lose, they might slip to second place and face their next match in Los Angeles. Switzerland has a draw against Qatar and a victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina under their belt.

Battle to Avoid Elimination: Bosnia and Herzegovina vs. Qatar

At the same time in Seattle on FS1, Bosnia and Herzegovina meet Qatar. Both teams sit at the bottom of Group B and need a win to stay alive. Each has drawn once and lost once in the tournament so far. This match could end the hopes of one side while giving the other a chance to progress if they can overcome the goal difference from other results. Both teams will be missing players due to red cards: Tarik Muharemović for Bosnia and Homam El Amin and Assim Madibo for Qatar.

Scotland Challenges Brazil in Group C

Later at 6 p.m. ET in Miami, Brazil takes on Scotland with Fox coverage. Scotland has never beaten Brazil in 10 encounters, losing eight and drawing twice. Brazil leads the group with four points and a +3 goal differential, followed by Scotland with three points. Brazil’s Raphinha is doubtful due to injury, but Neymar might return after missing the first two matches with a calf issue.

Morocco Looks to Secure Top Spot Against Haiti

Also at 6 p.m. ET in Atlanta on FS1, Morocco faces Haiti. Haiti has already been eliminated, while Morocco aims to finish ahead of Brazil in Group C. Morocco drew with Brazil and defeated Scotland earlier, positioning themselves well for advancement.

South Korea Eyes Knockout Stage Against South Africa

At 9 p.m. ET in Guadalupe, Mexico on FS1, South Korea meets South Africa. With co-host Mexico already securing a Round of 32 spot, South Korea could join them with a victory here. South Africa has one goal from two matches with a draw and loss. Even a draw might suffice for South Korea due to a favorable head-to-head tiebreaker against Czechia.

Czechia Needs a Win Over Mexico

Also at 9 p.m. ET in Mexico City on Fox, Czechia faces already qualified Mexico. Czechia must win and hope South Korea loses to South Africa to have a shot at moving forward. Mexico seeks to complete group play unbeaten with three straight wins on home soil. Czechia hasn't advanced since 1982, while Mexico has reached the knockout stages eight times in their past nine tournaments.
