Republic of Ireland Secure 3-0 Win Over Israel in Debrecen

The Republic of Ireland secured their opening victory in the Nations League Group B3 with a commanding 3-0 win against Israel in Debrecen, Hungary. This result came just three days after a disappointing loss to Kosovo, marking a strong response from the Irish side.

Early in the match, Troy Parrott opened the scoring with his 12th international goal, turning home a cutback from James Abankwah in the 14th minute. The momentum quickly shifted further in Ireland's favor when Adam Idah doubled the lead two minutes later, finishing confidently after a pass from Jack Moylan.

Caoimhin Kelleher, Ireland's goalkeeper, played a key role by keeping Israel at bay during several attempts early in the second half. Meanwhile, Moylan secured the third goal in the 25th minute, firing his first competitive international goal into the net after driving into the box.

The second half saw Israel pushing to reduce the deficit, but Kelleher denied efforts from Anan Khalaili, Dor Peretz, and Eliel Peretz, maintaining Ireland's clean sheet. Idah nearly added a second goal for himself, but Israel's keeper Daniel Peretz managed to turn the shot around the post.

The tense atmosphere before kickoff was evident as the Republic of Ireland players chose not to shake hands and bowed their heads during the Israeli national anthem.
