Real Madrid have shut the door. After chasing Rodri and coming up empty, the European champions have decided they will not sign another midfielder in this summer window, barring a blockbuster sale from within.
According to Fichajes, the club’s stance is clear: unless an offer of more than €80 million lands on the table for either Aurelien Tchouameni or Eduardo Camavinga before 15 August, the midfield is officially closed for the season.

The plan is bold. Mourinho wants Silva and Guler to form the creative spine of the side, one dictating from deep, the other slicing through defences closer to goal.
Their job is simple to describe, brutal to execute: keep Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, and Kylian Mbappe constantly supplied.
Silva’s relentless work rate and tactical intelligence, married with Guler’s flair and imagination, is the combination the club believes can control the rhythm of games. The board is convinced these two technicians give Madrid enough control in midfield without another specialist signing.
