Raphinha’s Hat-Trick Powers Barcelona to 7-2 Win Over Racing Santander
Raphinha Leads Barcelona to a Dominant Victory
Raphinha showcased his brilliance by scoring a hat-trick as Barcelona overwhelmed Racing Santander 7-2, extending their impressive winning streak in La Liga. The Brazilian forward’s three goals brought his season tally to nine, earning him the match ball and further fueling the team's unstoppable momentum under coach Hansi Flick.
Relentless Drive for Improvement
After the match, Raphinha shared his thoughts with the club’s media, emphasizing that he never feels fully satisfied with his performances. He constantly seeks ways to improve and contribute more to the team. Although pleased with the victory and his goal haul, he believes there is still room to raise his game.
"It's always important to think you need to improve in some area. I'm never going to tell you I'm doing well or that I'm at my best; I always try to improve everything I can. I can certainly give more to the team than I’m currently giving. I'm happy with the goals and the victory, which is the most important thing," Raphinha said.
Praising Flick and Supporting Teammates
Raphinha credited Hansi Flick for transforming his mindset and confidence since joining the club. He also explained why he passed a penalty chance to young teammate Lamine Yamal in the first half, hoping to boost his morale despite Yamal missing the shot. Raphinha understands how vital it is for strikers to find the net and showed selflessness by supporting his teammates.
"I think Lamine needed it at that point in the first half. He missed it, it's okay. I can miss too; that's normal. Whenever I can, I’m going to try to help him. Not just him, but Karim and Anthony as well. I know better than anyone that a striker needs his goal," he explained.
Ambitious Outlook for the Season
Looking ahead, Raphinha expressed confidence in the squad’s mentality and tactical setup. He believes the team is well-positioned to continue creating chances and scoring goals, aiming to remain among Europe's elite.
"We have the mentality that whenever we can, we have to look for more goals, create more chances, and it shows on the field. We are much better positioned to score goals, and that’s why we have everything we need to be at the top," Raphinha concluded.
