Fenerbahce have put a staggering offer on the table for Rafael Leao, and the numbers tell you everything about their intent.
According to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, the Turkish club are ready to hand the Milan winger a net salary of eight million euros per season on a five-year contract. On top of that comes a performance‑loaded package of bonuses: 1.5 million euros if he makes more than 20 appearances, 1.5 million euros if he hits 15 goals, and another one million if Fenerbahce finally get their hands on the Süper Lig title.
It is a deal built to seduce – and to signal a power shift.
Fenerbahce Go All-In
Fenerbahce have lived in the shadow of Galatasaray for too long. Four straight seasons finishing runners-up. No league title since 2014. For a club of their size and fanbase, that drought bites.
Under newly elected president Aziz Yildirim, patience has run out. The message is clear: spend big, close the gap, and knock Galatasaray off their perch.
The proposed 50 million euro fee for Leao underlines that strategy. Fenerbahce are prepared to make the Portuguese forward one of the centrepieces of a squad rebuild that has already shaken Turkish football.
Only a few weeks ago, they smashed their transfer record to land Mason Greenwood from Olympique Marseille for 39 million euros. That figure may now be eclipsed almost immediately.
