Osman Foyo Joins Rhode Island FC After AFC Wimbledon Stint

Striker Osman Foyo, formerly with AFC Wimbledon, has signed a permanent contract with Rhode Island FC, a team competing in the USL Championship. The 21-year-old forward made a total of 15 appearances for Wimbledon before this move.

Career at AFC Wimbledon

Foyo arrived at Wimbledon in January 2025, transferring from Ipswich Town. During his first season, he played six times as the club earned promotion to League One. In the following campaign, he added nine more appearances to his record. Additionally, he spent some time on loan at Sutton United in the National League, where he scored two goals in ten matches.

New Chapter in the USL Championship

The transfer marks a new chapter in Foyo's career as he steps into American soccer. His experience in English football, including helping Wimbledon climb up to League One, will be tested in a different environment with Rhode Island FC.
