Napoli Pursue Premier League Trio: Gabriel Jesus, Joshua Zirkzee, and Nicolas Jackson

Napoli has started inquiries about signing forwards Gabriel Jesus, Joshua Zirkzee, and Nicolas Jackson as part of their plan to strengthen the attacking line-up.

Searching for New Striking Options

The Italian side is intensifying its hunt for striking reinforcements following Romelu Lukaku's exit to Fenerbahce. Napoli’s current forwards include David Neres, Rasmus Hojlund, Matteo Politano, and Alisson Santos. Securing a prolific goalscorer remains a key goal to keep the team competitive in Serie A.

According to football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli is considering multiple forward options to act quickly before the transfer window closes.

Profile: Gabriel Jesus

Gabriel Jesus began his career at Palmeiras, winning the Best Newcomer award in the 2015 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and securing the Copa do Brasil. He earned the Bola de Ouro in 2016, helping Palmeiras win their first national league title in over two decades.

Jesus moved to Manchester City in January 2017 for £27 million, collecting four Premier League titles, three EFL Cups, and an FA Cup. In July 2022, he transferred to Arsenal for £45 million. After being sidelined with injury during most of 2025, he returned in December, scoring against Aston Villa after an 11-month wait.

Profile: Joshua Zirkzee

Joshua Zirkzee is a Dutch forward who rose through Bayern Munich’s youth ranks, making 17 first-team appearances. Loan spells at Parma and Anderlecht preceded his permanent move to Bologna in August 2022.

Zirkzee’s impressive performances at Bologna earned him a spot in the 2023–24 Serie A Team of the Year and the Best Under-23 Player award. This led to a transfer to Manchester United in July 2024. His current situation at Old Trafford has attracted interest from other clubs, including Napoli.

Profile: Nicolas Jackson

Nicolas Jackson, currently at Chelsea, started his career at Casa Sports and Villarreal, debuting in La Liga in 2021. He signed an eight-year contract with Chelsea in 2023 for around £32 million, scoring in the 2025 UEFA Conference League final versus Real Betis.

Jackson spent the 2025–26 season on loan at Bayern Munich for €16.5 million. There, he scored in the Champions League against Pafos and helped Bayern win the Bundesliga title after beating VfB Stuttgart.

Napoli is weighing these three forwards carefully as they look to add firepower to their squad.
