Girona FC Secures Marlex Partnership Through 2026/27
Girona FC have secured a key piece of their off‑pitch structure, tying down Human Resources firm Marlex as a major partner through the 2026/27 season.
The agreement extends a relationship that began in 2023/24 and keeps Marlex’s name on the back of the first team shirt, while maintaining a strong presence across the club’s youth setup. For Girona, it is more than a logo deal. It is a statement that one of the region’s leading companies remains firmly aligned with the club’s project at a pivotal time.
Club president Delfí Geli did not hide his satisfaction at the renewal, underlining the weight of continuity in a period of growth and ambition.
“We are very pleased that Marlex continues to stand by us for another season,” Geli said. “Their confidence in the project demonstrates the strength of the relationship we have built over the years and allows us to keep moving forward with the support of companies that share our values and our way of understanding the Club's growth.”
The message is clear: Girona want partners who buy into the identity as much as the balance sheet.
From Marlex’s side, the deal carries a strong local pulse. Founded in 1996 and now a leading HR services firm with more than 80 offices across the peninsula, the company has grown from the same Girona soil that nurtured the club. That shared origin is central to how CEO Àlex Sanabras views the partnership.
“As a company from Girona, continuing alongside Girona FC is a testament to our commitment to the Club and the city that has seen us born and grow,” Sanabras said. “We are starting a new season where it will be necessary to stay united to make the Club's return to the first division possible. Now more than ever, orgull gironí.”
The phrase – “Gironí pride” – captures the mood around the agreement. Girona are looking upward, targeting a return to the top flight, and they want the city and its businesses pulling in the same direction.
Marlex’s role stretches beyond simple branding. Its ongoing visibility in youth football ties into a broader club strategy: embed key partners at every level, from academy pitches to the first team, and build a culture around shared values of attitude, commitment, and teamwork. Those are qualities both parties insist go “beyond the résumé” and have, season after season, tightened the bond between company and club.
As Girona prepare for another campaign with promotion in their sights, they will do so with Marlex still on their backs – literally and symbolically – as the city’s football and business ambitions continue to run side by side.
