Eersel vs Jarvis II: Four Crucial Factors in ONE Lightweight Muay Thai Title Rematch at Inner Circle 33
After their first showdown ended in just 84 electrifying seconds, Regian The Immortal Eersel, the reigning ONE Lightweight Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion, will defend his 26-pound championship belt against George G-Unit Jarvis at The Inner Circle 33.
This highly anticipated rematch will take place live from Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, October 2, exclusively available for members at live.onefc.com during Asia primetime.
1. Eersel's Dominance in Lightweight Striking
Eersel has made the lightweight striking division his territory. Boasting a 65-5 career record with 29 finishes, this two-sport ONE World Champion from Sityodtong Amsterdam has systematically defeated every opponent, including Jarvis, whom he decisively beat at ONE Fight Night 34 in August 2025.
While many know his striking skills, his close-range elbow strikes are often overlooked. These elbows, forbidden in kickboxing but legal and deadly in Muay Thai, are unleashed with ruthless accuracy. In their previous fight, when Jarvis advanced aggressively, Eersel countered with a barrage of punches followed by a sharp elbow that quickly ended the match.
Standing at 6 feet 2 inches, Eersel uses his height and reach to generate downward leverage on his elbows, making it tough for shorter opponents to defend against. His long reach makes these elbows especially punishing when opponents try to close in.
Against Jarvis, who tends to absorb damage while looking for counters, repeated elbow attacks inside the clinch could lead to an even faster finish than last time.
2. Jarvis’s Aggressive Inside Fighting
George G-Unit Jarvis is known for his relentless style of dirty boxing. His approach involves absorbing strikes while pushing forward to create openings for his own offense. If Jarvis can get inside Eersel’s reach and impose his aggressive clinch work, he might disrupt Eersel’s rhythm and find chances to land effective counters.
