Darwin Núñez and Mohamed Salah are on the brink of an unlikely reunion – not under the Anfield lights, but in the cauldron of Trabzon.

Of Núñez’s 22 million-euro salary, the Turkish club will pay 8 million. Al-Hilal will shoulder the remaining 14 million, a sizeable subsidy that underlines just how keen the Saudi side are to move the striker on after a disappointing campaign.
