Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed his marriage to long-time partner Georgina Rodríguez. The Portuguese football star and the model exchanged vows in a civil ceremony held on Tuesday in Cascais, Portugal.
The wedding marked exactly one year since the couple announced their engagement on Instagram back in 2025. Their special day was an intimate event attended only by their five children.

Ronaldo shared a heartfelt post on Instagram featuring a photo of the couple holding hands with their wedding rings visible. The caption simply read: C❤️G, signaling their official union.
This ceremony followed rumors that the couple would marry at Funchal Cathedral in Ronaldo's hometown, which had attracted thousands of fans outside the church.
How They Met
The pair first crossed paths in 2016 when Georgina was working at a Gucci store in Madrid. According to her Netflix documentary Soy Georgina, their meeting was unexpected. She was supposed to leave early that day but stayed longer to assist a VIP client—Ronaldo, who was then playing for Real Madrid.
"I was finally able to leave the shop three hours later than planned, and just as I was about to go, Cristiano came in with his eldest son and some friends," Rodríguez recalled. "Let's just say it was butterflies in my stomach."
After that encounter, their relationship quickly grew close. Ronaldo would often pick her up from work in his Bugatti while she arrived by bus, a stark contrast that amazed her coworkers.
"He would come once in a Bugatti. My co-workers went crazy. I got there on the bus, and I would leave in a Bugatti. People couldn't believe it," she said.
Eventually, the attention made it impossible for Rodríguez to keep her job at the store, but their bond only strengthened over time.
Family Life
Before meeting Georgina, Ronaldo was already a father to three children: Cristiano Jr., Eva Maria, and Mateo. Together, Ronaldo and Rodríguez now share two daughters named Alana Martina and Bella Esmeralda.
The Wedding Ring Moment
In the documentary, Ronaldo explained why he had waited to propose. He wanted to feel a special moment, or what he called the "click," before putting a ring on Rodríguez's finger.
"I always tell her, when we get that click, like everything with our life, and she knows what I'm talking about," Ronaldo said. "It could be in a year, six months, or even a month. I'm 1000 percent sure it will happen."
Meanwhile, Rodríguez shared that her friends often teased her about the wedding timing, jokingly referencing Jennifer Lopez's song "The Ring." Now, the long-awaited event has finally taken place.
