Bournemouth have made a powerful move in the market, completing the signing of Portugal international Antonio Silva from Benfica in a deal worth £21.4m, with a further £4.3m tied to add-ons.
A 22-year-old with 237 senior appearances behind him does not arrive as a prospect. He arrives as a pillar.
Silva touched down on the south coast speaking like a player ready to lead.
