Bellingham and Mbappe Lead Mourinho’s Real Madrid to 4-0 Win Over Malaga

Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe were the standout performers as Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid secured a commanding 4-0 win against Malaga at the Santiago Bernabeu, extending their perfect run in La Liga.

Bellingham Shines with Brilliant Performance

Bellingham was central to Real Madrid’s dominance throughout the match. The England midfielder opened the scoring in the 19th minute with a stunning solo effort. Picking up the ball 35 yards out, he weaved past three defenders before calmly finishing beyond Malaga’s goalkeeper Alfonso Herrero.

His influence continued as he played a key role in the second goal just seven minutes later. After Herrero saved a powerful shot, Bellingham’s header caused the ball to deflect off the goalkeeper and cross the line, resulting in an own goal for Malaga.

Mbappe and Guler Seal the Result

Kylian Mbappe wrapped up the contest before the half-hour mark with a precise volley into the bottom-left corner, assisted by Trent Alexander-Arnold, who had returned to the starting lineup. This goal maintained Mbappe’s excellent form following his recent hat-trick against Real Sociedad.

The final goal came in stoppage time from substitute Arda Guler. After a quick break involving Vinicius Jr., Guler tapped home from close range to complete the 4-0 scoreline. Real Madrid dominated possession with 56.7% and fired 19 shots compared to Malaga’s 14, underlining their status as title favorites this season as they aim to overtake Barcelona.

Mourinho Praises Bellingham and Front Trio

"He is an incredible player," Mourinho said of Bellingham. "He demands a lot from himself and others. I didn’t want him defending like a second left-back."

The manager, now in his second spell with Real Madrid, seems to have found the right balance with his attacking trio. He dismissed rumors of friction between his star forwards, stating, "Very good players want to play together because they share the same speed of thought and quality. There is empathy and collective work. They are all very good."

Speaking about Mourinho’s impact, Bellingham said, "I feel greater freedom again, to decide when to drop back, push forward, or make runs into the box. I think this is the best position for me, showing all my abilities."

Real Madrid's Strong Start Under Mourinho

Since returning to the club this summer, Mourinho has reinvigorated Real Madrid, who currently lead La Liga with nine points from three matches. Despite the strong start, Mourinho remains cautious about upcoming challenges, especially with the international break possibly disrupting the squad’s momentum.
