Yvann Titi Commits to ESTAC Troyes Until 2029

Yvann Titi has shut the door on his suitors and nailed his colours to ESTAC Troyes.

The 20-year-old defender, tracked by French heavyweights AS Monaco and Lille OSC among others, has signed a contract extension with the newly promoted Ligue 1 side, tying him to the club until 2029.

It is a major statement from both player and club. Titi, a World Cup runner-up with France’s U-17s three years ago, has been on Troyes’ books for six years and was drawing interest from abroad this summer as well. Instead of waiting for a bigger move, he has chosen to grow where he has already taken root.

Titi’s rise has been built on versatility and raw speed. Comfortable as a centre-back and at right-back, he gives Stéphane Dumont an extra attacking outlet from deep, capable of breaking lines and driving forward rather than simply recycling possession.

His Ligue 1 debut arrived last weekend, a landmark moment as ESTAC held Paris FC to a 0-0 draw. It was a quiet game on the scoreboard, but a loud one for his career: first minutes in the top flight, first glimpse of what Troyes hope will be a long-term pillar of their defence.

The numbers from last season explain why the club moved quickly. In Ligue 2, during the promotion campaign, Titi delivered five assists in 20 appearances, an impressive return for a defender and a clear sign of the threat he poses in the final third.

Now the challenge changes. The opposition is sharper, the margin for error slimmer, the spotlight brighter. Troyes have backed him with a contract to 2029.

It is up to Titi to show that his Ligue 2 form can survive – and thrive – in Ligue 1.
