Romelu Lukaku has landed in Istanbul. Fenerbahce confirmed the signing of the former Manchester United and Chelsea striker on Wednesday, adding one of European football’s most prolific scorers to a squad already bristling with attacking talent.
The club kept the finer details under wraps. No contract length, no transfer fee. Just the announcement – and a statement of intent.
Lukaku, now 33, addressed Fenerbahce supporters directly in a social media video, wasting no time setting the tone.
"It's an honour and a privilege to be joining your club and to join this club," he said. "I'm fit, 100 percent, ready to go."
For a player whose career has swung between dominance and disruption, that last line will matter in Istanbul.
A Big Name with Big Numbers
