Roma Shows Strong Interest in RB Leipzig Winger Antonio Nusa Amid High Transfer Fee

Roma is reportedly considering a move for RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. The 21-year-old Norwegian attacker has caught the attention of the Italian club after recent departures from their squad.

Why Roma Is Interested

Following the exits of Mason Greenwood to Fenerbahce and Crysencio Summerville to Al-Hilal, Roma are keen to find fresh attacking options. They have already reached out to Leipzig's top management to discuss the possibility of signing Nusa.

Leipzig's Price Tag and Alternatives for Roma

RB Leipzig is firm on their valuation, demanding between €50 million and €60 million for the forward, who remains under contract until 2029. This steep asking price has led Roma to investigate other candidates, including Andreas Schjelderup from Benfica and Said El Mala of 1. FC Cologne. El Mala, aged 19, is also attracting attention from Borussia Dortmund.

Other Clubs Interested in Antonio Nusa

The interest in Nusa extends beyond Italy. Reports from June mention that Newcastle United and Arsenal are among several clubs monitoring the winger. The Newcastle Chronicle lists even more admirers such as Juventus, Tottenham Hotspur, and Crystal Palace. Although Bayern Munich was once linked with him, a move to the German champions seems unlikely now since they've secured Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven for the left wing.

Nusa’s Journey and Performance at RB Leipzig

Antonio Nusa joined RB Leipzig in summer 2024 from Club Brugge for around €21 million. Known for his versatility on both wings, he quickly became a key player. Last season, Nusa appeared in 35 competitive matches, scoring five goals and assisting four times.
