Real Madrid are moving to lock down one of their brightest jewels for the next decade.
After Spanish outlet AS revealed on Thursday that negotiations were progressing well, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano went a step further only hours later: according to his information, Madrid have reached a full agreement with Arda Güler’s camp on a new long-term contract.
The extension is set to run at least until 2031, with Romano reporting that the deal could even stretch to 2032. If that length is confirmed, the 21-year-old would join a very exclusive group in the dressing room. Only summer arrival Yan Diomande, signed for a hefty €125 million and tied to the club until 2033, would be committed to the Bernabéu for longer.
For Güler, the imminent signature is more than just paperwork. It’s a statement of status.
When he arrived from Fenerbahce in the summer of 2023, his first contract ran until 2029. Back then, Real Madrid paid €28 million to bring him from Istanbul to the Spanish capital — a sizeable outlay for a teenager, but one that now looks like a bargain.
His market value has exploded. Currently estimated at €90 million, the left-footer sits alone at the top of the list of the most valuable Turkish footballers. That rise is not just symbolic; it is expected to be mirrored in his pay packet. Reports put his previous salary at around €5 million per year, a figure now said to be in line for a major upgrade as part of the new agreement.

Last season, Güler produced 20 goal involvements across 51 competitive matches, gradually forcing his way from impact substitute to regular starter. He didn’t do it with noise or drama, but with steady, relentless output.
