Pape Matar Sarr Joins Juventus on Loan from Tottenham
Tottenham have agreed a deal with Juventus for Pape Matar Sarr to leave on loan, with the Italian giants holding a £25.7million option to buy the midfielder at the end of the season.
The move comes amid a flurry of late-window activity at Spurs, as the club reshapes Roberto De Zerbi’s squad in the final days of the market.
Sarr set for Juventus as exits gather pace
Standard Sport understands Sarr will join Juventus for the season, with the option for the move to become permanent next summer if the Serie A side trigger the agreed fee.
He is not the only young talent heading out. Tottenham have also approved Mikey Moore’s loan switch to Bundesliga side Koln, with the deal now set to be finalised. Left-back Souza is on his way to Porto, also on loan until the end of the campaign.
The pattern is clear: De Zerbi is trimming numbers and backing those fully committed to his project.
Spurs chase new attacker as Ndiaye talks continue
While players head for the exit, Spurs are still pushing to bring in at least one more attacker before the deadline. Talks remain ongoing with Everton over a deal for Iliman Ndiaye, with Tottenham keen to bolster their forward options.
In a twist to those negotiations, Everton are simultaneously working on a separate deal to bring Richarlison back to Goodison Park, two years after selling the Brazilian to Spurs. Any agreement there would mark a significant return for a player who was a cult hero on Merseyside.
De Zerbi lays down a clear line
De Zerbi made his stance crystal clear over the weekend, confirming that Richarlison, Sarr and Kevin Danso have all asked to leave the club, with Danso attracting loan interest from Sunderland.
“He said too many times [that] he wants to leave. Danso came to me two days ago, and he said he wants to leave, and Pape Sarr, the same, but he suffer[ed] a small injury, but he is almost ready to train,” the Spurs head coach said.
The Italian then underlined the conditions for any exit.
“I love these players, they are great guys, I have very good relationships, but if they want to leave, they have to bring the solution, the economic solution, to the club, and they can go, and we find other players.”
The message is blunt: bring a deal that suits Tottenham, and you can walk. Fail to do so, and you stay.
With Sarr’s move to Juventus in place, Moore bound for Koln, Souza heading to Porto and Richarlison pushing for a return to Everton, the clock is ticking. Spurs now have days, not weeks, to turn this reshuffle into a squad that truly looks like De Zerbi’s own.
