Manchester United Signs Sweden Winger Monica Jusu Bah
Manchester United have struck a deal to sign Sweden winger Monica Jusu Bah from BK Hacken, landing one of the most highly regarded wide players in the Damallsvenskan as the Women’s Super League deadline looms.
The 23-year-old is expected to complete her move before next Thursday’s transfer cut-off, with only the final formalities left before she joins Marc Skinner’s squad.
A fee will be required to prise her away from Sweden. Jusu Bah signed an extension with BK Hacken in September 2025 and is under contract until 2028, so United are paying for both her present impact and her long-term potential. The exact figure remains undisclosed, but it underlines United’s intent in a crucial window.
Jusu Bah has spent her entire club career in Sweden. She broke through at Umea, catching the eye with her direct running and end product, before earning a move to BK Hacken in 2023. Her rise has been steady, not sudden, built on consistent performances rather than a single breakout moment.
This year brought a landmark achievement. In May, she helped BK Hacken lift the inaugural Women’s Europa Cup, adding European silverware to her CV and proving she can handle high-pressure fixtures.
On the international stage, Jusu Bah has already become a regular option for Sweden. She has made 11 appearances for the national team and featured in all six of their Women’s World Cup qualifying matches this year, an ever-present in a demanding campaign.
United are not finished yet. The club are understood to be pushing to add at least one more signing before next week’s deadline as they reshape a squad aiming to close the gap at the top of the WSL.
The move for Jusu Bah follows a busy spell of business. United have already brought in defender Andrea Medina from Atletico Madrid and goalkeeper Janina Leitzig from Leicester City, strengthening the spine of the team.
