Even though Liverpool is prepared to spend, PSG’s demand of between £140 million and £145 million stands as a major obstacle. While Barcola reportedly likes Liverpool’s project, the large gap between valuations has made the club explore other options. Rayan of Bournemouth: The Plan B
Bournemouth's Brazilian winger Rayan is now Liverpool’s leading alternative if the Barcola deal falls through. The 20-year-old has already reached an agreement on personal terms with the Reds. He fits Iraola’s demanding style and offers speed, physicality, and promising growth potential primarily on the right flank.
Rayan impressed in the Premier League’s second half last season, contributing seven goals and assists in just 15 appearances since joining Bournemouth earlier this year.
Other Options and Squad Development
This summer, Liverpool has signed defender Jeremy Jacquet and winger Victor Munoz, but neither fully replaces Salah’s creative and goal-scoring output. The club still wants another high-quality attacker to strengthen their title challenge prospects.
