Kylian Mbappé Continues Scoring Streak for Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappé has started the 2026-27 season like a man in a hurry.

The Real Madrid forward struck again on Tuesday night, opening the scoring in the Champions League group-stage clash with Inter and making it five goals in five games for his new club.

One mistake was all he needed.

Curtis Jones was caught in possession, Brahim Díaz pounced and slipped the ball into Mbappé’s path. In a single, ruthless motion, the France captain swept a first-time finish past Josep Martínez in the 14th minute, the kind of cold, clinical strike that has become his trademark on Europe’s biggest stage.

Just nine minutes after Mbappé’s opener, Inter unravelled again. This time it was Martínez at fault. The Inter goalkeeper hesitated, Federico Valverde didn’t. The Uruguayan surged in, nicked the ball away and stabbed it into the net to double Madrid’s advantage and punish another lapse.
