Juventus Eye Loan of Zion Suzuki from PSG as Bridge to Signing Alisson Becker in 2026

Juventus are preparing to bring in Zion Suzuki on a one-year loan from Paris Saint-Germain. The Serie A club sees the Japan international goalkeeper as a stop-gap while they wait to sign Liverpool's goalkeeper Alisson Becker on a free transfer when his contract ends in 2026.

PSG Close Deal to Acquire Suzuki from Parma

Sources in Italy and France report that PSG are about to complete the purchase of Suzuki from Parma Calcio 1913. The deal is said to be worth around €30 million, with an additional €5 million potentially added based on performance.

Suzuki is unlikely to feature for the French side this season. Instead, he will be sent back to Italy on loan to Juventus, who view this short-term move as part of a long-term plan. They consider Suzuki a temporary solution while waiting for the chance to bring in Alisson.

Spalletti Targets Familiar Keeper

Luciano Spalletti, Juventus' coach, has spent much of the summer looking for a new goalkeeper and even entered talks with Aston Villa over Emiliano Martinez. Still, Alisson remains his main target. Spalletti worked with Alisson at Roma, where the Brazilian keeper kept 26 clean sheets in 64 appearances.

Earlier in the year, Alisson reportedly gave Juventus the go-ahead for a move, willing to give up Champions League football to return to Italy. Despite mutual interest, Liverpool refused to sell Alisson during this transfer window.

Liverpool Block Transfer but Juventus Wait Patiently

Since Liverpool rejected offers, Juventus are ready to wait until Alisson's contract expires in June 2027 to sign him on a free transfer. Alisson has been a key player for Liverpool with 333 appearances, 140 clean sheets, and multiple titles including two league championships and a Champions League trophy.

"I believe he will be an extremely important element in helping the new players adapt, whether they are experienced or young players," said manager Andoni Iraola. "We need role models within the dressing room, such as Virgil van Dijk, Alisson and Joe Gomez, players who have spent many years at the club. I am confident we will get this kind of support."

Looking Ahead: Juventus Integrate Suzuki While Monitoring Alisson

Once the loan deal is official, Juventus will focus on bringing Suzuki into their squad for the domestic season. Meanwhile, Alisson remains vital to Liverpool's plans as they gear up for their Premier League opener against Newcastle United.

The Italian club will keep a close watch on Alisson and aim to secure a pre-contract agreement ahead of his contract ending in 2027, setting the stage for his eventual return to Serie A.
