Juventus Pursues Kolo Muani Return Amid Attack Overhaul
Juventus are tearing up their forward line and starting again. At the heart of the rebuild, one name keeps coming back: Randal Kolo Muani.
The French striker, who impressed in a brief spell in Turin last season, is open to a return in the summer, and Juventus are working to turn that willingness into a deal with PSG. Talks are ongoing, with the Bianconeri trying to land not only Kolo Muani but also Alexander Sorloth as they reshape an attack that has run out of credit.
Old attack, new reality
Dusan Vlahovic will walk away as a free agent when his contract expires on June 30, a major asset leaving for nothing and a clear line in the sand for Juventus’ new project. Lois Openda and Jonathan David were supposed to be part of the solution. Instead, their debut season in Turin underwhelmed badly enough that the club are now ready to listen to offers for both.
The message from the Allianz Stadium is blunt: nobody up front is untouchable.
Two tracks: Sorloth and Kolo Muani
On one track, Juventus have already moved decisively. Negotiations with Atletico Madrid for Sorloth are advanced, and an agreement with the Norway international is already in place. The structure is there; now they need the goals.
On the other track, the more complicated one, sits Kolo Muani. Romeo Agresti of Sky Sport and Tuttosport reports that Juventus remain in active talks with PSG over the 25-year-old, who rediscovered his spark in black and white last season.
The numbers are clear. PSG want around €35 million. Juventus do not want to go beyond €30m. That gap is small enough to keep everyone at the table, but large enough to force creativity.
Loan, obligation, and a player out of the project
Given that Kolo Muani’s contract with PSG runs until June 2028, the French champions have room to manoeuvre. The expectation is that they could accept a loan with an obligation to buy, tied to conditions that are almost guaranteed to be met. It’s the kind of formula Juventus know well: protect cash flow now, commit for later.
The sporting context in Paris helps. Kolo Muani is not part of Luis Enrique’s plans, and PSG have no intention of offering the former Tottenham loanee a new deal. He is a valuable asset on the books, but a peripheral figure on the pitch. That tension often ends the same way: a move.
A player who already knows the way
For Juventus, this is not a blind bet. Kolo Muani has already shown he can live with the pressure in Turin. In the second half of the 2024-25 season, he hit ten goals in 22 appearances for the Bianconeri, giving their attack a vertical edge and a touch of unpredictability they had been missing.
He left an impression, and not just on the club. Reports indicate he is eager to return to the Allianz Stadium, even though Juventus will not be playing Champions League football in 2026-27. That willingness to sacrifice Europe’s top stage for a familiar environment and a central role in a new project is not lost on the decision-makers in Turin.
Juventus want to build an attack around hungry forwards with something to prove. Kolo Muani fits that brief. Sorloth, if the deal is completed, would add a different profile and a focal point.
Now it comes down to the final stretch of negotiations with PSG. If Juventus bridge that €5m gap and secure their man, the new-look front line will carry a very different face – and a very clear message about where this club intends to go next.
