Jordan Ayew Set for Sheffield United Debut Against Wolves

Jordan Ayew is in line for his Sheffield United debut on Sunday, with Chris Wilder ready to throw his new signing straight into the Premier League battle against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Ghana international only arrived on Tuesday as a free agent, yet moved quickly into the matchday picture, taking a place on the bench for the clash with Blackburn Rovers that same evening. Now, with Wolves visiting at 12:00 BST, Wilder has little intention of easing him in gently.

"One of the attractions of signing Jordan, not just the level of his experience, his availability record is just incredible," Wilder said, underlining exactly why United moved for the 32-year-old. "We are delighted physically where he's at and he will definitely be involved."

Even so, the Bangladesh international is unlikely to be wrapped in cotton wool this weekend. With injuries biting and options thin, Wilder expects Choudhury to feature again against Wolves.

"There's a few in an ideal world would be getting rested and maybe not starting, but that's the situation at the moment," the United boss admitted, summing up the balancing act facing him.
