Jeremy Doku Commits Future to Manchester City with New Contract
Jeremy Doku has committed his future to Manchester City, signing a new five-year contract that ties him to the Premier League champions until at least 2031.
The Belgian winger, who arrived from Rennes in 2023, has quickly grown into one of the most explosive forwards in English football. Since landing at the Etihad, Doku has racked up 22 goals and 34 assists in 131 appearances, driving City to the Premier League title, the Club World Cup, the FA Cup and the League Cup.

Doku buys into Maresca’s City
Maresca steps into the role vacated by Pep Guardiola with the league campaign kicking off on August 21, and Doku made it clear the Italian’s ideas played a decisive part in his choice to stay long term.
"I have loved my time at City so far, so to have the opportunity to stay for longer is a fantastic feeling," Doku said after putting pen to paper. "This club means so much to me – I have developed as both a player and a person. I feel settled here, and I know I am improving every day because of the work the staff here do.
"With Enzo here now I am really excited about the new season. His style of football is the kind we love, so that's exciting for the players."
That blend of continuity and change suits Doku perfectly. Still only 24, already decorated in England and on the global stage, he now becomes one of the pillars of Maresca’s first City side.

Inside the club, there is no doubt about his trajectory. City’s director of football Hugo Viana hailed the Belgian’s rise since his arrival three summers ago.
"Jeremy is a huge talent whose improvement since joining us in 2023 is clear for all to see," Viana said. "He has a special dynamic. He has the right characteristics for what we are looking for in a winger. He really does bring a special quality to our team.

Doku’s numbers back that belief. His direct running, end product and versatility have turned him into a constant threat, whether he starts wide or drifts inside. On the international stage, he has already collected 48 caps for Belgium and featured at the most recent World Cup, underlining his status as a mainstay for club and country.
