Hull City Signs Elliot Stroud from Mjallby

Hull City have completed the transfer of Swedish international Elliot Stroud from Mjallby, the Allsvenskan champions, for a fee of £3.5 million. This marks their seventh signing this summer following promotion to the Premier League.

The 24-year-old versatile player has agreed to a four-year contract at the MKM Stadium, with an option to extend by another year. Stroud brings experience from European competitions and international matches to the squad.

Stroud's Achievements and Impact

During his time at Mjallby, Stroud scored 19 goals and provided 13 assists over 87 league games. He played a key role in helping Mjallby win the 2025 Allsvenskan title and the Svenska Cupen trophy. His performances earned him a spot in Sweden’s 2026 World Cup squad.

Stroud Reflects on New Challenge

"I am super happy and super excited to get started here," Stroud said on Hull City's official website. "When I first heard of the interest, it was the only thing I wanted to do. I have individual hopes to play at the highest level possible. When an opportunity like this comes, it’s not something you take lightly. To do it here in Hull is an exciting opportunity."

He also spoke about his World Cup experience and ambitions in England: "The World Cup was an amazing experience. To represent your country in a World Cup is the biggest honour you can have as a player. It was a dream of mine to play in the Premier League. I am super excited to get this opportunity and hopefully create something magical this season."

Stroud joins several summer signings, including Jack Butland, Oscar Zambrano, Matt Targett, Hidemasa Morita, Konstantinos Tzolakis, and Jens Hjerto-Dahl.
