Hull City near £22m deal for Iroegbunam as Everton faces Ndiaye exit
Hull City are closing in on Everton midfielder Tim Iroegbunam in a deal that underlines just how frantic this transfer deadline is becoming for both clubs.
The Championship side have agreed a package worth £22m for the 23-year-old, who is set to leave Hill Dickinson Stadium for an initial £13m. Add-ons could push the fee up by another £9m. Iroegbunam has been granted permission to travel to East Yorkshire to complete his medical.
Everton only signed him from Aston Villa in 2024 for £9m. Now, a year on, they stand to more than double their money as Hull continue a sweeping rebuild.
If the move is completed, Iroegbunam will be Hull’s 13th signing of the summer. And they are not done yet. Talks are ongoing over a loan deal for Chelsea midfielder Dario Essugo as they try to arm themselves for a promotion push before Tuesday night’s deadline.
Everton, though, have bigger numbers to juggle.
Man City close on £65m Ndiaye deal after Spurs stall
Manchester City have agreed a deal worth up to £65m to sign Iliman Ndiaye from Everton, a move that could reshape Sean Dyche’s attacking options just as the window slams shut.
The agreement for the Senegal winger is structured at £60m up front, with a further £5m in add-ons. Ndiaye, 26, had looked Tottenham-bound on Friday night after Spurs struck terms with Everton, expecting Richarlison to head the other way in a separate transfer.
That plan collapsed. Sources indicate Richarlison failed to agree personal terms with his former club, despite Everton tabling a £35m offer for the Brazil forward. With no agreement on the player’s side, Tottenham have been unable to push ahead with the Ndiaye deal.
City have stepped into that gap. Everton now face the prospect of losing a key attacker without landing their preferred replacement, all while trying to reshape the squad before the clock hits 23:00 BST on Tuesday.
Deadline day ticking down
Premier League and EFL clubs have until 23:00 BST on Tuesday to get everything signed and sealed. The window, which reopened for a second time this year on Monday, 15 June, cannot run for more than 16 weeks in a calendar year under Fifa rules.
Last season, the English deadline was pulled forward to 19:00 to line up with the working day. This year, it has reverted to the familiar 23:00 finish.
Across Europe, the shutters come down earlier. Spain, France and Italy all close on the same day but in the evening rather than late at night, while the Bundesliga window shuts at 19:00 on Tuesday.
Scotland runs on a different rhythm. Clubs north of the border have until 17:00 on Thursday, 3 September to complete their business, the same cut-off that applies to the Women’s Super League.
Aznou returns to Spain with Malaga loan
Away from the headline deals, Everton have moved on left-back Adam Aznou, who has joined La Liga side Malaga on loan for the 2026-27 season.
The 20-year-old arrived at Goodison Park from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2025 but managed only two senior outings last term, one each in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup. The switch marks a return to familiar territory for Aznou, a product of Barcelona’s La Masia academy.
He spent three years with Barça as a teenager before heading to Munich in 2023. Now he goes back to Spain looking for regular minutes and a platform to kick-start his senior career.
Hutchinson swaps Forest for Milan stage
AC Milan have added attacking depth by taking Omari Hutchinson on loan from Nottingham Forest until the end of the season.
The seven-time European champions hold an option to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign, giving them a close look at a player whose progress stalled at the City Ground.
Hutchinson joined Forest from Ipswich Town for £37.5m just 12 months ago. Under four different managers last season, he managed only 17 Premier League starts. Milan offer a very different stage, and potentially a fresh start, if he can convince them to trigger the option.
Allan arrives at Man City as Savio successor
Manchester City have already moved to replace Savio and have done so with another Brazilian winger. Allan Elias has signed from Palmeiras in a deal worth up to £34.2m.
City will pay an initial £32m plus £2.2m in add-ons for the 22-year-old, who has agreed a five-year contract. He steps straight into the vacancy left by Savio, who completed a £75m move to Tottenham Hotspur last week.
Allan, a right-sided winger who came through Palmeiras’ academy, scored nine goals and delivered 12 assists in 96 appearances for the Brazilian club across all competitions. City see him as the next wide option to plug into Pep Guardiola’s relentless attacking structure.
Forest land Munoz to reunite with Glasner
Nottingham Forest have continued their own aggressive window by sealing a £22m move for Daniel Munoz from Crystal Palace.
The Colombia right-back reunites with Oliver Glasner at the City Ground, the pair having lifted both the FA Cup and Conference League together during their time at Selhurst Park.
Munoz has signed a three-year deal after two and a half years with Palace, where he scored 11 goals in 109 games. He follows the £50m club-record signing of Liam Delap and could make his debut against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday.
The day that decides the first half of the season
Clubs, agents and players now race the clock. Premier League and EFL sides know that once 23:00 BST passes, the market shuts until January, and any gaps in the squad stay exposed for months.
