Harry Kane Reaches 101 Bundesliga Goals: Future with Bayern
Harry Kane marked his latest milestone with the kind of ruthlessness that has come to define his time in Germany. Two more goals in Bayern Munich’s 7-0 demolition of Union Berlin took him to 100 and then 101 in the Bundesliga – and into the record books.
The England captain is now the fastest player ever to reach a century of goals in any of Europe’s top five leagues, hitting the mark in just his 98th appearance. A stunning return, even by his own standards.
After the final whistle, Kane allowed himself a moment to take it in.
"I'm very proud of scoring 101 Bundesliga goals in such a short time," the 33-year-old striker said in his post-match interview, as relayed by Bayern-focused outlet iMiaSanMia. "I've loved every second of it. Playing with Michael (Olise), Lucho (Luis Díaz), Jamal (Musiala), I know I'll get chances. Thank you to the team and the club. It's a great stat to have. Let's keep it going."
The goals came on a day when Bayern badly needed a statement. Recent wins had not fully convinced, with laboured performances against Schalke and Elversberg raising questions about their level.
Kane didn’t dodge that reality.
"We've been winning games and scoring goals recently, but didn't quite reach our top level," he admitted. "It was nice to get to this level today, especially right before the international break."
This was Bayern in full flow again, and Kane at the heart of it – finishing clinically, linking play, and thriving off the service from a glittering attacking cast that now includes Olise, Luis Díaz and Musiala.
Off the pitch, though, the conversation keeps circling back to his future and a potential contract extension with the Rekordmeister. Kane made it clear he feels settled, but also that the story is not quite finished.
"As I said (before), I'm extremely happy here. The talks are ongoing. I really appreciate the support the fans are showing me here."
The goals keep coming. The records keep falling. Now the question for Bayern is simple: how long can they keep their No. 9 at the centre of it all?
