Galatasaray Rejects Al-Hilal’s €130m Bid for Osimhen
Galatasaray have turned down a staggering €130m offer from Al-Hilal for Victor Osimhen, making it clear their star striker is going nowhere this summer.
The Saudi Pro League club lodged the verbal bid on Wednesday through intermediaries, pushing hard to lure one of Europe’s most feared forwards to Riyadh. The answer from Istanbul was blunt: no sale, no talks.
According to Sky Sports, Galatasaray informed Al-Hilal they have zero intention of entering negotiations in this window, regardless of the size of the offer. For a club that has rebuilt itself around Osimhen, the stance is as much a statement as it is a decision.
Galatasaray’s untouchable No. 9
Osimhen has been devastating since landing in Turkey from Napoli on an initial loan in 2024. He has rattled in 59 goals in just 74 games for the Süper Lig champions, numbers that explain why Galatasaray were willing to smash their own transfer record to keep him.
That loan turned permanent last summer for €75m, a Turkish transfer record. It was a bold move at the time; it looks like a bargain now. Galatasaray see him as the centrepiece of their domestic dominance and European ambitions, not as a cash-out asset.
So when Al-Hilal came back for a player they have admired for a long time, the Turkish champions didn’t blink.
Al-Hilal’s ambitious rebuild hits resistance
Al-Hilal’s interest in Osimhen is not new. The Saudi giants previously came close to signing him before his move to Istanbul, and they have kept him high on their wish list ever since.
The plan is clear. Al-Hilal want a marquee No. 9 to spearhead a renewed title push in 2026/27 after finishing second last season, just two points behind Al-Nassr. The margins are fine at the top of the Saudi Pro League, and they believe Osimhen is the kind of signing that tilts a title race.
The club are expected to sanction the departure of Darwin Nunez in the coming days, opening up a prime slot in attack. Osimhen had been identified as the statement replacement, the man to lead the line in a front line already packed with star power.
They have not been shy in the market. Al-Hilal have already wrapped up a £60m deal for Crysencio Summerville from West Ham United and still boast Karim Benzema and Malcolm among their attacking options. Add Osimhen to that mix and it becomes one of the most intimidating forward units anywhere.
But the move has hit a wall in Istanbul.

This is not just about money. It is about two competing projects colliding over the same player.
On one side, a Saudi powerhouse throwing down a €130m bid and reshaping its squad for a title assault. On the other, a resurgent Galatasaray refusing to dismantle the core of a team built to dominate at home and push deeper in Europe.
Right now, Galatasaray are holding firm. Al-Hilal have the resources to come back again. The question is whether they will, and how high they are willing to go for a striker who has already been told he is simply not for sale.
