Crystal Palace Sign Axel Disasi on Loan from Chelsea
Crystal Palace have moved to bolster their back line with the loan signing of France international defender Axel Disasi from Chelsea.
The 28-year-old arrives at Selhurst Park after a stop-start spell at Stamford Bridge, where he made 61 appearances following his move from Monaco in 2023. Chelsea have now sanctioned another temporary switch, this time across London, as Disasi looks to re-establish himself as a Premier League regular.
He is no stranger to a loan move in England. Last season, Disasi spent time with West Ham United, featuring 14 times in the league and offering a glimpse of the physical presence and recovery pace that first attracted Chelsea.
"I'm very happy. The club has been going in a very good direction, so I think it was the right place for me to keep going," Disasi said in a statement, underlining the appeal of a Palace side that has quietly rebuilt its identity in recent seasons.
Disasi also brings pedigree on the international stage. He was part of the France squad that reached the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar, adding big-tournament experience to a Palace defence that has been crying out for depth and authority.
For Palace, this is a move that adds stature. For Disasi, it is a chance to turn minutes into momentum.
