Cristiano Ronaldo Marries Georgina Rodríguez in Cascais

Cristiano Ronaldo has taken a new step off the pitch: the Portugal star has married longtime partner Georgina Rodríguez.

The couple were wed on Tuesday in a civil ceremony in Cascais, a coastal town just outside Lisbon. The event, according to the Brunswick Group, which represents Ronaldo, was “a private and intimate moment attended by their five children.”

No red carpet. No televised spectacle. Just family.

Ronaldo and Rodríguez, who met in Madrid a decade ago, shared a single image on their Instagram accounts to mark the occasion, quietly showing their wedding rings rather than staging a grand reveal. For one of the most recognizable athletes on the planet, it was a strikingly low-key way to confirm a major life milestone.

The 41-year-old forward, a five-time world player of the year and one of football’s defining figures, heads into this new chapter of his personal life after playing in a record-tying sixth World Cup for Portugal. His schedule does not slow down: his Saudi club, Al Nassr, opens its domestic campaign on Saturday.

A new season begins, and for Ronaldo, it does so with a new title alongside all the others — husband.
