Copa del Rave Launches World Cup Viewing Parties in Los Angeles

Copa del Rave has spent the past five years turning Los Angeles’ DJ scene into a small-sided pitch. Now it’s stepping onto the biggest stage the sport can offer.

With the 2026 FIFA World Cup kicking off in June across the United States, Mexico and Canada, the charity soccer tournament is launching a full-scale residency of match-viewing parties in L.A., locking in Academy and Exchange L.A. as its home grounds for the month-long spectacle.

This isn’t just a TV-on-in-the-corner situation. It’s a full club takeover.

World Cup meets warehouse energy

Across the tournament’s 16 host cities, Copa del Rave will mirror the global sweep of the World Cup, but Los Angeles gets the epicenter: a rolling series of events where the dancefloor becomes the terrace.

Each party will be built around the countries on the day’s fixture list. Claude VonStroke steps up for Team USA, while Reggaeton Rave, Gasolina and Bolo’s Vibraza Records bring the noise for Mexico. Blaq Pages and Afrobeats To The World carry the flag for the African diaspora, turning kickoff days into cross-continental club nights.

The formula is simple: doors open, decks heat up, the match screens go live, and the music never really stops. The dancefloors will be moving before the first whistle and long after the final one.

Free entry, real stakes

Access stays true to the project’s roots. Events are free with RSVP, with VIP tables on offer for those who want a more elevated perch above the chaos.

Behind the strobes and smoke machines, there’s a serious engine driving it all. Since 2019, Copa del Rave has raised more than $75,000 for various charities. This year, proceeds go to Common Goal, the initiative dedicated to creating more opportunities for kids to play soccer — a neat symmetry with a World Cup built on dreams of access and inclusion.

Co-founders Alastair Duncan and Jonathan McDonald describe the project as a “labor of love,” and the 2026 edition underlines that point: global dance music, DJ culture, and a major charity push, all running alongside the sport’s showpiece tournament in their own city.

The stars have aligned, and Copa del Rave is determined to make every night feel like a final.

A World Cup built for spectacle

The residency lands in a wider World Cup landscape that’s leaning hard into entertainment. Madonna, Shakira and BTS have been confirmed as headliners for the FIFA World Cup Halftime show at MetLife Stadium on July 19, the first time the tournament has ever staged a dedicated halftime production.

From stadiums to nightclubs, from kids’ pitches to VIP tables, the 2026 World Cup is turning into something bigger than a month of matches. In Los Angeles, Copa del Rave will make sure the party doesn’t end when the referee blows for full time.
