Colin Dagba Moves from PSG to Serie B Side Carrarese Calcio
Former Paris Saint-Germain right-back Colin Dagba has made a surprising move to Italian Serie B club Carrarese Calcio. After leaving Belgian side Beerschot, the 27-year-old defender has signed a contract running until June 2028, marking a fresh start in Italy’s second division.
New Chapter at Carrarese
Carrarese announced the signing of Dagba following his free agency status after July 1. The deal includes an automatic extension option based on certain performance goals. This transfer offers the former France Under-21 international a chance to regain form and make an impact in Italian football.
Versatility and Defensive Strengths Highlighted
In their official statement, Carrarese praised Dagba’s adaptability and technical skills. They described him as a French right-back with notable attacking flair, speed, and offensive qualities. Additionally, the club emphasized his defensive reliability, especially in marking opponents.
Impressive Track Record in Paris
Dagba appeared 77 times for PSG across all competitions, including seven Champions League matches. During his tenure at Parc des Princes, he won three Ligue 1 titles, two Coupe de France trophies, and two Trophee des Champions. Loan spells at Strasbourg and Auxerre followed before his recent time in Belgium.
This experience brings valuable depth to the defensive lineup managed by Gabriele Cioffi at Carrarese.
Looking Ahead: Carrarese’s Upcoming Fixture
Currently, Carrarese sits 14th in Serie B, having earned just one point from their first two matches. Dagba may make his debut when Carrarese hosts Empoli on September 5, offering a crucial chance to gain momentum and aim for their first league victory of the season.
