Carlos Baleba Bids Emotional Farewell to Brighton After Joining Manchester United
The 22-year-old midfielder Carlos Baleba has officially moved from Brighton & Hove Albion to Manchester United. The transfer was finalized on Tuesday afternoon, marking the start of a new chapter in Baleba's career at Old Trafford.
Grateful Goodbye to Brighton
Following the announcement, Baleba shared a touching message on Instagram to thank the Brighton fans and club staff. He posted a video highlighting his time at the south coast club, expressing deep appreciation for the support he received during his stay.
"I came here at 19 with little English and no idea what this club would become to me," Baleba wrote. "Brighton only asked me to be myself. The staff who make the club run so well. The teammates who took the time to understand me, on the pitch and off it. The nights at the Amex when I heard my name from that stand always made me feel at home."
Carrying Brighton With Him
The midfielder emphasized how much Brighton meant to him and thanked everyone who helped him grow quickly as a player and person.
"To all of the fans, staff and my teammates. You looked after me and for that I will hold you all close to my heart," Baleba said. "Wherever I play, this club is in how I play. Good luck Seagulls."
Looking Ahead at Manchester United
Baleba will now focus on settling into his new environment with Manchester United, as the squad prepares for upcoming matches. Fans may have to wait a bit longer to see their new signing on the pitch, as it's uncertain if he will be ready to debut against Ipswich Town this weekend.
