Bayern Munich Pursues Manchester United Star JJ Gabriel

Bayern Munich are positioning themselves at the front of the queue for Manchester United prodigy JJ Gabriel, with the 15-year-old reported to have told the club he wants out and is not expected to pull on their shirt again.

According to reports in The Sun and the Manchester Evening News, Gabriel’s camp has opened the door to two of Europe’s biggest powerhouses, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, as the teenager looks for a dramatic change of scene at a crucial stage of his development.

The negotiations have been smoothed by influential intermediary Ali Barat. The so‑called super-agent, working through his agency Epic Sports, is understood to have helped bring Bayern and Real Madrid to the table and is seen as a leading contender to formally represent Gabriel once rules allow.

Current regulations prevent players under 16 from being officially represented by an agent, but that has not stopped interest in Gabriel accelerating. At just 15, his reputation inside academy circles has already pushed him into the spotlight of Europe’s elite recruitment departments.

Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund only added fuel to the speculation last week. Sitting in front of the cameras, he stopped short of discussing any potential move, but his assessment of the youngster was striking.

“I don’t talk about players who are under contract with other clubs. We know the player because he’s very talented. He’s an exceptional talent. I can’t say anything more about that,” Freund said.

For a player who has yet to sign professional terms, being courted by Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, with Manchester United bracing for his exit, underlines the scale of the battle now brewing over one of Europe’s most talked‑about teenagers.
