Barcelona Nears Rodri Transfer as Medicals Shift to Catalonia

Rodri had initially been expected to complete his medical in England today before flying out. That plan has been shelved. Journalist Achraf Ben Ayad reports that the 2026 FIFA World Cup winner will instead undergo his medical tests in Catalonia on Tuesday morning, 18 August.
Barcelona managed to secure an earlier flight for the midfielder, prompting the change. He is now expected to land in the city this evening, with the medical booked for the following morning.
If all goes as expected, the next steps are straightforward: medical completed, contract signed, transfer announced.
