Barcelona Surpasses €1 Billion Revenue Mark in 2025-26 Financial Results
Barcelona has announced a historic financial achievement, with revenues exceeding €1 billion for the 2025-26 season. This marks the first time in the club’s history that it has crossed this income threshold. The details will be shared during a virtual Ordinary General Assembly scheduled for 19 September.
General Assembly Announcement
The club’s Board of Directors set the date for the Ordinary General Assembly on Saturday, 19 September. The meeting will take place virtually from Auditori 1899 at the Spotify Camp Nou facilities. It will cover the financial results and significant institutional milestones from the fiscal year 2025-26.
The arrangements were finalized on 3 September during a board meeting. Members will receive official notifications with the full agenda, and comprehensive financial data will be provided to ensure transparency.
Breaking the Billion-Euro Barrier
The standout aspect of Barcelona’s financial report is the surge in revenue, which for the first time surpassed €1 billion within a single season. This milestone means the club has recorded positive ordinary results for the third year running, fulfilling its goal of financial stability amid a challenging transition period.
"The meeting today was to present the annual accounts for the 25/26 season, which show positive ordinary results for a third consecutive season, as such meeting the target of financial stability in a season marked by significant operational and capacity considerations," the club stated.
Overcoming Stadium Capacity Limits
The club reached this financial success despite strict limits on matchday attendance. For the first half of the season, home games were split between Estadi Johan Cruyff and Estadi Olímpic due to ongoing construction. Even after moving back to Camp Nou, spectator capacity was capped at 42,000, well below the originally expected 60,000.
Despite these restrictions, Barcelona nearly met its projected budget for the season, proving resilience amid operational constraints.
Promising Financial Outlook at Camp Nou
The strong financial figures reflect the potential of Camp Nou once renovations are complete. The stadium is expected to become a major source of revenue, helping the club overcome recent economic difficulties.
Alongside matchday income, record sponsorship deals and merchandise sales through the club’s subsidiary, BLM, significantly contributed to the impressive turnover. This positions Barcelona in a robust financial stance heading into the upcoming General Assembly.
