Aston Villa are pushing hard to land Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson in a deal that would hand a direct Premier League rival a major attacking weapon just before the window shuts.

Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna reported that Villa have tabled a €70 million offer for Jackson, with the Chelsea forward described as “on the verge” of accepting the move. The player is keen, the interest is firm, and the clock is ticking.
Reunion with Emery on the cards
Villa and Chelsea still need to hammer out the details of Jackson’s contract and personal terms, but the Midlands club are understood to have enough room in their wage structure to make the numbers work.
Jackson’s motivation is clear. The chance to reunite with Emery, the coach who gave him his first-team debut at Villarreal, carries obvious appeal. Under a manager who already knows his game, the 23-year-old would expect to hit the ground running.
