Andrea Pinamonti Joins Lazio on Loan

Andrea Pinamonti is finally on his way to Rome.

Lazio and Sassuolo have reached a full agreement for the striker’s move to the capital, sealing a deal that had been edging closer for days as the player long ago gave his green light to the transfer.

The 25-year-old will join the Biancocelesti on loan with an option to buy, giving Lazio fresh firepower up front while keeping some financial flexibility in the operation.

Once the story started to leak out, the confirmations arrived in waves on Tuesday afternoon. Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano put his seal on it with his trademark “Here we go”, while Lazio insider Damiano Er Faina also described the move as a done deal.

The Numbers

That is where opinions split.

  • Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the overall package could climb to around €12 million, combining fixed fees and add-ons.
  • Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà, though, suggests Lazio’s total outlay will sit just above €10 million, with a loan fee in excess of €3 million forming a key part of the structure.

Local outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi backs up the idea of a sizeable loan fee but urges caution on the final figure. The total cost, they underline, can only truly be calculated later, once performance-related bonuses tied to sporting objectives are triggered or missed.

For now, the important part for Lazio is clear: the agreement with Sassuolo is in place, the player has been waiting for the call, and a new centre-forward is about to walk through the doors at Formello.
