The Portuguese representative met the club’s sporting director before sitting down with Balde and Marc Casado, outlining the paths in front of both players. Casado’s departure has been expected for some time. Balde’s, suddenly, feels very real.
The tension spiked when Barcelona left the Spain international out of the squad to face Elche. No injury. No suspension. Just a conspicuous absence that read like a message: his future is in play.
On the table are three offers. Manchester United are pushing hardest and, according to current information, stand in pole position to sign him. Two other clubs remain firmly in the race, but the Premier League side are thought to be closest to an agreement.
Balde has not yet given a final answer. He is still weighing up his options, while Barcelona have their own work to do. The Catalan club must now move from internal discussions to formal negotiations with the interested sides.
