Al-Ittihad Pursues Hakim Ziyech Amid Wydad Crisis

Al-Ittihad have stepped into the storm around Hakim Ziyech, trying to prise the Moroccan star away from Wydad just as his relationship with the club hits breaking point.

According to “Africa Foot”, the Libyan side have put a substantial financial package on the table, keen to strike quickly and lure Ziyech with terms they believe will be hard to refuse. The offer is there. The decision is not.

Nothing is agreed yet. Negotiations over his contract with Wydad are still dragging on, with no breakthrough in sight.

What began as tension has now become a full-blown crisis. Financial, sporting and disciplinary disputes have all piled up in recent weeks, poisoning the atmosphere between player and club. Several sit-downs between Ziyech and Wydad’s hierarchy have produced plenty of words but no compromise.

Then came the flashpoint.

Ziyech went public, using social media to accuse Wydad president Ibrahim El Assri of lying. The fallout pushed the saga into the open and made a private dispute a very public confrontation.

Wydad are desperate to close the chapter and move on. Ziyech is not backing down. He is holding firm over what he believes he is owed and, according to the same source, is prepared to escalate the matter to FIFA if no agreement is reached.

Al-Ittihad are watching all of this and pushing hard. Wydad want an end to the crisis. Ziyech wants his dues. Somewhere between the courtroom threat and the transfer offer, his next move now hangs in the balance.
